We're here for Clare County
Get Help
His Helping Hands is a call center. To request help, call 989-539-2064, Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
How it works
-
Step 1: Call our office
Call 989-539-2064, Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Our office is closed on holidays.
-
Step 2: Complete an intake
We will ask some questions about your situation. It takes time to process each intake to be sure all decisions are made to the best of our ability.
-
Step 3: Get connected
We vet each request and connect you with our ministries, our partner churches, or another agency in the community that can best help.
Good to know
- We are not an emergency service. If you are in danger or have a medical emergency, call 911.
- We take time to vet each request to cut down on scams or needless requests that could be better helped in another way. Please allow time for us to respond.
- We serve households in Clare County, including Clare, Harrison, and Farwell.
- What to have ready when you call: [TODO: documents or information callers should have ready]
Ways we can help
Other agencies we work with
One church or agency cannot meet all the needs in our county. We work with other agencies in the community, including:
- Mid Michigan Community Action (MMCAA)
- Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)
- The Salvation Army
- United Way
- Veterans Administration
Experiencing homelessness?
If you are homeless or about to lose your housing, complete the Coordinated Entry Assessment. This questionnaire is used to help determine your eligibility for housing programs. It is run by Mid Michigan Community Action (MMCAA), not by His Helping Hands.
